Growing up in a large and affluent city has brought peace and comfort to my life and afforded me opportunities that many others in this world don’t enjoy.  I’ve been able to safely explore all corners of Mississauga as I’ve grown up, first as a teenager on the public transit system, then later with my car, and finally I’ve explored almost every path and trail in this city as a runner.  I’ve also learned that although I enjoy travel somewhat, I much prefer to be at home, in my familiar surroundings.  Perhaps, I find comfort honing in on one place or thing, and learning that in great depth, as opposed to always looking outward.
